Newborn photography is such a joyous thing.....Snuggling the babies, posing them, photographing them, creating art, and seeing the faces on the parents when they see said art for the first time. It's just such a special time to see the size of baby's hands next to his parents or siblings. To see how tiny those eye lashes can be. To see the love between parents as they are photographed with their bundle of joy. It's like therapy for me - I won't lie.
If you would like to schedule a newborn session with me please keep in mind that it's best to do it when the baby is between 1-3 weeks old. During a newborn session with me we start with simple posing on my posing bag, incorporate a prop, and then photograph the family/siblings with baby. I work entirely around the baby and the baby's needs so newborn shoots with me last anywhere from 1-3 hours. They are shot during the day time at my home studio and I supply all props/wraps/accessories. Of course my clients are welcome to bring stuff of their own and we can style the shoot together. Newborn shoots typically last 2-3 hours and we document all the things: fingers, toes, eyelashes, etc. I like to start with my bean bag posing, move into props, and then photograph the family with the baby. The cost for a newborn shoot is $199 and that includes, your photo shoot, your proofing gallery, and a $100 print credit. (Digital images are $65 each or two for $99 and prints start at $25.05).
