I want to book a portrait shoot but how does it all work?

1. Have your new client consult, which is usually done over the phone and takes about 10-15 minutes. During the consult we pick your shoot date, location, and go over outfit ideas. We also go over any questions you may have. At this time, half of the non-refundable shoot fee is due (to confirm your reservation) and the remaining half is due the day of the shoot.
2. Have your photo shoot.
3. Roughly 2-3 days after your shoot date you will receive an email with an invitation to your online, password protected, gallery containing your high resolution digital files. Feel free to share with friends and family and be sure to download and store in a safe place. I recommend that you print with Mpix.com and I will be sure to send you an email coupon for $10 off your first order with them.
I say to have ONE person wear a pattern and then pick colors from that pattern to create your color pallet. All other subjects should wear solid colors pulled from said pallet.
With that said, I always say to the moms "Dress yourself first and pick your family's outfits around yours." I say this because you will always think your partner looks sexy and your kids look adorable and you may not like how you look, if you dress around them. So pick an outfit that makes you feel sexy and confident and make your family dress around you."
1. Anniversary Sessions, Family Sessions, Birthday Sessions, and Glam Sessions typically receive 25-30 high-resolution digital photos
2. Senior Sessions and Multi-Generational Sessions typically receive 50-70 high-resolution digital photos
High-resolution digital files and the number of files depends on the style of shoot you book. I always encourage my clients to print at Mpix.com - ask me for a discount code on your first purchase.
Couples, Family, and Birthday sessions are $400
Senior Sessions and Glam Sessions are $525
Multi-Generational sessions are $800
I shoot all over Amador and Calaveras Counties and have many go-to locations, depending on the look my clients are wanting to achieve.
I do but I book a limited number of weddings each year and I book by referral only.
